You will findyourself having to switch from the subway to a bus, and then possibly walkingthe rest of the way. When arriving by your own car, it’s advised to drop offluggage and additional passengers at the Terminal curb first, then go find aparking spot. The cruise terminal has it's own parking, but you should consider taking a taxi instead. At the La Quinta Inn & Suites in downtown Brooklyn, you’ll have easy access to all that Brooklyn has to offer, and you’ll be just under two miles away from the cruise port.

Nestled along the Brooklyn waterfront, this modern cruise terminal provides convenient access to the vibrant neighborhoods, cultural attractions, and iconic landmarks of Brooklyn and Manhattan. Enjoy the city's eclectic dining scene and explore the bustling streets before setting sail. If you rent a car from either of these companies, you canarrange to be picked up at the airport. Then, when it’s time to turn the carin, you can just take a quick cab or Uber to the cruise port. Taking a taxi from LaGuardia to the Brooklyn cruise terminalwon’t run you a ton of money, so whether you’re riding with a few people or alarge group, this could be a great option. Unfortunately, cruise line shuttles are not included as partof your cruise price, and can get expensive, especially if you’re travelingwith a large group.

I found a couple of websites that discussed parking alternatives, but they ended with "at $25 a day, there is no real alternative".

The Lodge Red Hook is one of the best options as far as accommodations go if you want to be closest to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal. It is just under a mile from the pier and is about a 3-minute drive away, or, a 14-minute walk. Although there are no direct shuttles from any hotel in the Brooklyn area, this option is arguably the most convenient.
